- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆April 11, 2020, by Matthew ReedA couple years ago, I bought 30 board feet each of pecan, soft maple, and poplar. The pecan and maple is all casehardened, and unusable for most purposes. An expensive mistake, and not a good introduction to woodworking. They didn't offer to fix the problem, and told me they can't assure me it wouldn't happen again.
